Mother’s Day Granola

So I am just about to set off and meet my mum at the station for her annual Mother’s Day weekend in London. I love this time of year when I get to spoil her and thank her (in a small way) for all that she has done and continues to do for me. She is my friend, confidant, shopping partner, family birthday date-giver, and in fact an all-round advice giver. We are similar in so many ways and always have a good time together. I usually take her for afternoon tea with supplementary funds from my brother (I am more than happy to organise the present and dine on his money…!) hence the photo from last years trip to The Orangery at Kensington Palace.

This morning I made a jar of granola so she has a nice breakfast to wake up to,  once again I used a trusted Nigella recipe though I must admit I omit the salt as I have a massive sweet tooth!

Happy Mother’s Day mum, thanks for all that you do
